Case Study 1 - Enjoying Island Life
Tine and Robert Gardiner from Glenageary, saw their dream kitchen as soon as they entered our showrooms, ‘I knew I wanted white but it wasn’t until I walked into the Arena Kitchens showroom and saw an island with a stunning sweet gum tree veneer that I found just the feature to make my kitchen unique.’
Designer Jane Higgins worked with Tina and Robert and their Architect, Adrian Buckley of Buckley Partnership Architects to make Tina’s dream kitchen a reality. Jane designed a 3 dimensional computer animated walk through of the new space giving Tina and Robert an appreciation of how the kitchen would work within the new living and dining room.
Tina is delighted with the results, ’I used to avoid the old kitchen but now I find reasons for busying myself behind the island absorbing the views beyond the glass doors,’ she says. ‘We see foxes playing on the lawn and I’m constantly aware of the changes in the season. It’s just so serene’

The Miele by Warendorf Kitchen combined with the Miele appliances provided Tine and Robert with a complete Kitchen furniture and appliances package. Sleek white micro textured lacquered units and an exotic sweet gum tree veneered island combine to create an elegant and functional open plan space.
The handle less elegant lines of their kitchen create a clean contemporary effect. Their midway lighting panel with ribbed mirror creates ambient lighting to the rear of the hob area, with integrated sockets and suspended accessories for storage and display.
The white mineral Getacore worktop with its warm feel and seamless joints is hard wearing and luxurious and is a delight to work on, according to Tine.
Tine and Roberts kitchen took three days to install with a further two days installing a large Häcker utility room which incorporated stacked laundry machines and baskets with dedicated shoe store.
